Overview PancakeSMP is a multi-gamemode Minecraft server network established on May 1, 2025, by co-founders Swiitzerland, LexoxHD, and EasyQuark. Originally operated as a private SMP for a small community of players, the network officially opened its doors to the public on January 12, 2026. What began as a modest setup has since evolved into a feature-rich multiplayer environment supporting a wide variety of playstyles.
Server History & Infrastructure The server's infrastructure underwent multiple upgrades to support its growing player base and expanding features:
Aternos Era (May 2025): Launched as a private instance hosted on Aternos for initial testing and small-group survival gameplay.
Early DDNS Phase: Transitioned to dedicated hosting under neonpixelx.ddns.net as custom features and secondary gamemodes were introduced.
Anarchy & Rebranding Phase: Adopted 9b9t.ddns.net during the launch of the anarchy gamemode, later streamlining connectivity under pancakes.ddns.net.
Current Domain: Operates fully under the custom domain pancakesmp.lol, offering improved uptime and proxy routing across all sub-servers.
Gamemodes PancakeSMP features a diverse roster of game modes introduced sequentially throughout its development:
Survival: The original bedrock of the server, focused on vanilla survival mechanics and community building.
PvP: A dedicated combat arena designed for competitive player-versus-player battles.
CityBuild: An economy-driven plot world focused on municipal building, trading, and estate development.
9b9t (Anarchy): A lawless environment with no rules, unrestricted PvP, and no griefing restrictions.
LifestealSMP: A high-stakes survival mode where players steal hearts upon eliminating opponents.
HardcoreSMP: A high-risk survival experience with limited lives and stringent consequences for death.
